Originator and Co-director of District Knowledge Bowl Program, 1989-1997.
Responsible for hiring teachers for moderating and question generation, tournament
schedule, training, and judging disputes. Each year this quiz competition involves about
500 students representing their schools in District-wide competition, grades 3-9, and
covers curriculum in greater detail than that covered in most high school courses.
Member Alpine District Career Ladder Committee, 1993-1996.
Specifically responsible for the peer-review teams for 12 schools and helping set policy
for distribution of over $3 million in Career Ladder enhancement funds to teachers.
Member of numerous and varied District curriculum committees, 1983-2000.
Responsibilities have included aligning the District Curriculum to the State Curriculum;
writing lesson plans for science, health, reading, math, and social studies; science textbook
adoption; and District curriculum specialist for Lehi Elementary.
